Senior Health Screening
Located at the Fremont Senior Center, the senior health screening program has been a successful part of Tri-City Health Center for over 15 years. The goal of the senior health screening program is to keep the senior population of Fremont healthy by providing medical screenings as a means of prevention and intervention. Many seniors have benefited from these services because they are conveniently located at the City of Fremont Senior Center. It has happened on several occasions that a simple blood pressure or heart monitor screening has caught a potentially life-threatening condition.
The Fremont Senior Center serves a very diverse population: 30% Mid Eastern, 30% Caucasian, 26% Asian/Pacific Islander, 7% Hispanic, 5% other, and 2% African American. Our program, staffed by an RN team that operates ten hours a week, offers services to approximately 4,000 low to moderate income seniors annually at the center.
Services include:
- Blood pressure screenings
- Counseling and referral services
- Blood tests to determine fasting glucose levels and lipid panels
- Podiatry services
- Vision screening
