LGBT Community

The Edge – The Edge is a LGBT resource and support center providing services to the community since 1993. Through community education and awareness programs, The Edge serves as a safe space where members of the LGBT community can freely express themselves. Feel free to drop by and pick up some free literature and safer sex supplies.

Men Together Project – The Men Together project was developed to provide HIV/AIDS education in Fremont and surrounding cities. Through community, outreach, bar outreach, and street outreach our health educators are able to distribute free safer sex materials as well as provide information about HIV prevention to gay, bisexual, trans and queer men. Free anonymous or confidential HIV and STD testing and Hepatitis A/B vaccines on Tuesdays during our Men’s Clinic from 11am-1pm or 3pm-7pm. Camp TinaCamp Tina is a health-related research project conducted by Tri-City Health Center and UCSF for men who have sex with other men and use meth. For more information call Andrew at (510) 713-6690 ext. 6245.

Just For Us – Just for Us is funded by California’s Tobacco Control Section that addresses tobacco-related harm. We provide free cessation classes tailored specifically to the LGBT community. In addition, we are working to reduce secondhand smoke exposure in the businesses we frequent through a smoke-free doorway sign initiative. For more information call Lee at (510) 713-6690 ext. 6240.

Hombres Unidos – A social support group for Latino gay and bi men. The group is provided in both English and Spanish. We have weekly meetings, special events and retreats. For more information call Julio at (510) 713-6690 ext. 6218.

TransvisionTransVision's mission is to provide a safe, welcoming, and trustworthy program for transgender women in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. We are committed to providing services that affirm and empower transgender women, as well as providing access to quality health care that includes HIV prevention, testing, and treatment. With the tools of education and outreach, we challenge the communities of Alameda County to address the stigma and intolerance that is targeted towards transgender women. Monday Night Youth Group – The youth group is open to LGBTQ youth who want to hang out with other youth from the area. The youth group offers a safe place for youth under 20 to express themselves.
